Rob Strong, known as the Godfather of Soul blues singer, was born in Derry in 1947. Rob recalls his amazing story of playing 55 consecutive years on the road, from The Polka Dots to The Plattermen, when he often played in The Abbey Ballroom, The Aisling Ballroom, Clogherhead, and later with his own band in Joey Maher's, George's St and The Weavers, Drogheda.
